Created in 2001, CASA ORO is the only Youth Hostel on this costal region. It was built for and by backpackers to make San Juan Del Sur accessible to all budget. It is located in the center of the village on the first parallel street from the beachfront. When entering the big yellow house on the corner, you will meet the friendly managers of the hostel. They speak Spanish, English and French to serve you better.

The building is a classical Nicaraguan wood house with Spanish inspiration. Inside you will find the reception and information counter, two spacious rooms used as dormitories, a full equiped kitchen, an open air dining room and TV room, a lovely interior garden and of course showers and toilets. Casa Oro is constantly improving to be more comfortable, practical and affordable. Our goal is for you to enjoy your stay in San Juan Del Sur and our staff will happily help you in any way they can. Reservations – Generally you can get a bed or a room without having to reserve. However it is best to reserve if your stay happens to be during a National Holiday such as Christmas, New Years, Holy week in April and other specific dates or for a long period especially during July & August.
